Some people are teaching evolution, in that we evolved over millions or billions of years. Some people are teaching what is known as the "Gap" doctrine, which seems to be a mutation of evolution and creation combined. Those who promote and teach a "Gap" doctrine, generally use Genesis 1:2 to prove there is a "Gap" in the creation account, saying there were millions or billions of years between verses 1 and 2. There are so many variations of these evolution and mutated evolution doctrines that it would take volumes to write them all down. So instead, what we need to do is look at what the Bible, God's word has to say about the "Creation Account".

I will systematically go through the "Creation Account" as stated in Genesis 1:1 through Genesis 2:4 to prove from scripture that God really did create the heavens and the Earth in six days, with no gap, and that our planet Earth is only about 6000 years old.

"Creation Account" Day #1--Genesis 1

Because the King James Bible uses the word "heaven" singular in verse one, some will argue that the atmosphere around the Earth already existed for millions or billions of years before God "redecorated" the Earth as they say started with verse 3. The word "heaven" in Genesis 1:1 is Strong's #8064 and can include all the heavens, including the one that God resides in as well as the atmosphere surrounding the earth. It has been translated as "air" 21 times in the King James Bible. The same Hebrew word for heaven "Shamayim" is translated as "heaven" or "heavens" throughout the Old Testament. If one looks at several Bible translations, one will see that some translations use the word "heaven" in verse one and some use the word "heavens" in verse one. This is important to know, because evolution mutaters will play a little word game here with "heaven" as singular to get you to swallow the evolution mutation doctrine. The same word, Strong's #8064"Shamayim" is translated as "heaven" in Genesis 1:1, 1:8, 1:9, 1:14, 1:15, 1:17, 1:20 and as "heavens" in Genesis 2:1, 2:4, 2:4.

Another word game that evolution mutaters play is by their use of the word "Earth". They seem to want Genesis 1:1 to show that the Earth originally was a solid mass of land before the destruction which to them took place between verses 1 and 2. In Genesis 1:1, "Earth" is Strong's #776 "erets" and simply means the whole Earth or any part of the earth, whether it be covered in land or water or a combination of both. This will be a very important point as we continue on through this account. Also pay very close attention to how the word "Earth" is used in context of each verse it is found in. As you will see it can mean the whole planet or a part of the planet.

The major word game that evolution mutaters use is in their use of the words "create" Strong's #1254 "bara" and "made" Strong's #6213 "asah". Evolution mutaters define these two words very narrowly and insist that their definitions are the only ones that can be used for these two words. They insist that "create" "bara" only means "it is created from nothing", and "made "asah" only means "do, did". It is important to know that throughout scripture the word "create" "bara" and made "asah" are used interchangeably as if they share some common definitions, which they do. Evolution mutaters will insist that the word "made" "asah" never means to create something from nothing, however scripture shows otherwise, see Genesis 1:25 where it clearly shows that the land bound animals were "made" rather than "created". Also Genesis 1:27 clearly shows that both man and woman were created. If the word "create" "bara" only means "to make something from nothing", then why did God make Adam from "dirt" and why did God put Adam to sleep and remove one of his "ribs" in order to make Eve? (Genesis 2:7 and Genesis 2:21-22) This just doesn't sound to me like God created man and woman from nothing. Looks like he used dirt and a rib. The animals were also formed out of the ground by God. (Genesis 2:19)

The word "beginning" used in Genesis 1:1 is Strong's #7225Re'shiyth and means first, chief, choice part or beginning. Evolution mutaters will always tell you that in Genesis 1:1 it shows that God created the heaven (singular) and the earth, but in verse three God redecorated the Earth millions or billions of years later. The Bible tells us otherwise. In the beginning God created male and female also, Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. Beginning as used in Mark 10:6 in the Greek has the same meaning as in the Hebrew. This would mean that man and woman were created in the "beginning" just like the heaven(s) and the earth.

Genesis 1:2 is where evolution mutaters go to prove that Satan was on the earth in the beginning and then he went to heaven to overtake God's throne and then God threw him back to his first estate which was earth. One problem here is that you cannot find one scripture from Genesis to Revelation that shows that Satan ever lived on earth (with the dinosaurs) before man and woman were created. Because scientists claim that dinosaurs lived millions or billions of years ago many people jump to scripturally unsupported ideas that Satan and the dinosaurs lived together millions or billions of years ago. There is plenty of archeological proof to show that dinosaurs are not millions or billions of years old, but that they lived right along side man. The Bible also supports this idea. Dinosaurs are reptiles. They are animals and they are mentioned in various places in the Bible. The "behemoth" which is possibly known today as a "brachiosaurus" is found in Job 40:15-24 and the "leviathan" which is possibly known today as the "kronosaurus" is found in Job 41:1, Psalm 74:14, 104:25-26 and Isaiah 27:1. Strong's #8577 "Tanniyn" in Hebrew is dragon (dinosaur) in English. Evolution mutaters claim that when "dragon" is used in the Bible that it always refers to Satan. Do a word search here on your own. You will find that a dragon is an animal and is shown to be so in many verses. Evolution mutaters have a real big problem when they set out to say that "dragon" throughout the Bible always refers to Satan. In Genesis 1:21 we are told that God created "tanniyn" (dragons) on the 5th day of creation. So if dragon always refers to Satan, then Satan was not created until the 5th day. This would mean that Satan the Dragon could not possibly have been on planet earth before Genesis 1:1 in order to wreck the earth so God could redecorate it in Genesis 1:3.

Evolution mutaters use "without form""tohuw" Strong's #8414 to show that there are millions or billions of years between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. They claim that God would not make anything in vain and then they send you over to Isaiah 45:18 to prove it. Think about this for a minute or two. Suppose that you are taking a pottery class and your first project is to make a bowl out of clay. When you first get your clay and you start working with it, does it at all resemble a bowl or is it sort of a blob "without form" and "void" "empty" Strong's #922 "bohuw"? Truth be known, evolution mutaters seem also to have only one meaning for the word "tohuw" and that is "vain". If something, whether it be the earth or a bowl is just not totally formed yet because you are just now creating it, there is nothing "vain" about it one way or the other. Evolution mutaters also argue that God did not create the earth in vain, but he created it to be inhabited. While you are creating your bowl and it is still in "blob" stage are you creating it in "vain" or do you mean someday to put something in your bowl and eat it. I rest my case, with my point being that everything which is created or made starts out "without form" and is "void" empty. In the Young's Analytical Concordance to the Bible under the word "tohuw" we find several meanings but under the very two meanings that evolution mutaters go to for their proof that the earth is millions or billions of years old, "vain" and "without form", there is an asterisk and when you look at the bottom of the page, it say's the following: "Inexact translations". In other words we have some sort of a translation problem in any verses in Hebrew using "tohuw" as translated into English as "without form" and "vain". Young's does not seem to state what the translation problem is and I was unable to track it down. If someone knows what it is, please write to us.

In Genesis 1:3 we are told that God said "Let there be light: and there was light." This does not look like God created or made this light, because it doesn't say He did either in verse 3. In Genesis 1:1 thru Genesis 2:4, there are two Hebrew words translated as "light", one is "owr" Strong's #216 and the other is "ma'owr" Strong's #3974. According to the Hebrew "owr" seems to mean almost any kind of light and "ma'owr" seems to mean the light of the luminaries such as sun, moon and stars. What causes a problem with the light in verse 3, is that so far God has not created a sun, moon or stars, so what light is He talking about here? Do you remember when Moses went up on the mountain to see God and when he came back down his face shone? (Exodus 34:29, 34:30, and 34:35). In verse 2 we were told that the "Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." So I don't think it would be going too far to say that the brilliance of God is the "light" spoken of in Genesis verse 3. Also see: Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Firmament here is Strong's #7549 "raqiya" and I am not sure that anyone really knows why it was called a "firmament", but I do know there are many theories out there about it. In verse 8 the Bible says the firmament was called "Heaven". In Genesis 1:14 it clearly shows a firmament/heaven where the stars were being placed. In Genesis 1:20 it clearly shows birds flying in the "firmament". In Ezekiel 1:26 and 10:1 it seems to indicate that another firmament would be the one God resides in. Whether God made 1 heaven or 3 heavens on creation day 2 is not clear, so we don't know except that when one gets down to Genesis 2:1-4 it does say "heavens" plural. Some Bible versions do translate the word "Heaven" in verse 8 as "Heavens".

"Creation Account" Day #3--Genesis 1

On creation day 3, God spoke and the dry land appeared. Please note that on day 3 it does not say that God created or made the trees or the plants and yet we know that he did. He just spoke it and it happened.

On day 4 we are starting to see that when God says "Let there be...", it's just another way to say "made" "asah" or "create" "bara". This is the day that God created the sun, the moon and the stars. The second heaven would have had to have been created on day 2 in order to accommodate the sun, the moon and the stars.

In verse 14 we see that the lights were made for signs and for seasons. The word "seasons" here is "Mow`ed" and means "appointed time" or "set feast". In other words, God's law was already in force by Day 4. God's Holy Days were meant to be kept right from the very beginning and for all of man kind, not just the Jewish people.

"Creation Account" Day #5--Genesis 1

On day five God has created the birds (and flying insects) which fly in the "open firmament of heaven", which means God created the 1st heaven on day 2 to accommodate the birds and the moving creatures.

The King James Bible translates Strong's #8577 "Tanniyn" as whales in verse 21, however other Bible versions translate it in various forms, such as: sea monsters, sea animals and monsters. In the King James Bible it is translated as: sea monster, 1 time, whale, 3 times, serpent, 3 times and dragon 21 times. Dragons, dinosaurs were reptiles so they would spend time both in the water and on the land, just as reptiles do to day. When Satan is referred to as a "Dragon" in the Bible, it is what we call a "metaphor".

"Creation Account" Day #6--Genesis 1

On day 6, God created the land animals and Adam and Eve. In verse 25, it clearly says that God "made" "asah" the beasts of the earth. On day 5 for the reptiles, water bound creatures and birds, it was said that they were "created" "bara". This gives us one of many good examples right from the Bible itself, to show that "made" "asah" and "create" "bara" are interchangeable.

On day 6 before iniquity entered the world, God meant for all people and animals alike to eat plants. Look at verses 29 and 30 where it clearly shows what God intended for us to eat from the beginning. In Isaiah it shows that the animals will go back to a state of eating only plants in the future. (Isaiah 11:7)

Again, in these verses we see the word "made" "asah" and "create" "bara" being used interchangeably.

In verse 1, it shows that God created the heavens (plural) and the earth and "all the host of them." The word "host" as used here can also include the "angels". 1 Kings 22:19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. 2 Chronicles 18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. In other scriptures the "host of heaven" can include animals and sun, moon, stars and planets. So what does it mean when it says "all the host of heaven?"

God also created on the 7th day, the Sabbath. Please remember that at this point there were only 2 people on earth and they were not referred to as Jews. The Sabbath was made for all of man, from the first man Adam to the last man. God's Sabbath law was fully in force by the 7th day of creation.

In this verse the word "generations" means "begetting or account of heaven", Strong's #8435. In other words, this is the "history" and/or the "record" of the birth of the heavens and the earth. Please take note that "heavens" is plural in this verse.

I understand that it may be hard for many people to grasp that God created everything in 6 days and then rested on the 7th day, however that is what He says: Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Evolution mutaters invalidate the above 2 verses because the word "made" is used rather than the word "create", however in Exodus 20:11 it includes everything under the word "made" even those things which were stated in the creation account to have been created. So I hardly believe that to be a valid argument to prove a gap between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2.

On day 2 did God create 2 heavens only or did he create 3? Again the Bible is mute on this point. There is no mention in the creation account of angels being created at this time, however we do know that Lucifer/Satan was a murderer and a liar from the beginning: John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

We also know that Christ was foreordained from the foundation of the world to die for our sins. 1 Peter 1:19. But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20. Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

Again, there are no known scriptures that show that Satan was living on the earth with dinosaurs before the creation account begins in Genesis 1:1. In order to come up with that story one has to make it up in their own mind. Was the 3rd heaven including the creation of angels included as part of the creation in Genesis 1:1 to 2:4 or did God create the 3rd heaven and the angels before Genesis 1:1, we don't know unless we can find the proof within the scriptures. What we do know is that God knew that man would sin and Christ would need to die for us before the foundation of the World. How would he know this unless it was all part of the over all plan?

Scientists today are finding that their methods of dating the earth and other elements of our world are not turning out valid data. Things known to have been made recently are being dated at millions of years ago in some instances. Scientists continue to try to fool the multitude of people because the only other alternative to evolution is creation and if they (the scientists) had to go that route, then they would all have to change the way they think and do things. It's all about not keeping God's law.

Not all scientists believe the earth is millions or billions of years old. Many are now in this day coming to understand that the dating methods they use don't work and that the earth is probably very young. It is not a right thing in the sight of God when one believes scientists over the word of God. Either you believe God when he says he created the heavens and the earth in 6 days or you don't. It doesn't matter when the mutated doctrine of a combined evolution/creation came about, because the bottom line is that it came into being contrary to what the Bible actually says and the whole premise is to discredit what God says in the Bible. The Bible is a record from beginning to end of how man continuously refuses to believe and obey God. Read it, the majority of the people recorded in the pages of the Bible refused to believe and obey God, few are found to be righteous in the sight of God.

One can find scientists who believe the earth is millions or billions of years old and one can also find scientists who believe the earth is less than 10,000 years old. This is why one needs to take God's word over man's word. Pure Evolutionists have a need to get rid of God the Creator all together. Evolution mutaters have a need to take science and make the Bible fit into it. Creationists take the Bible and then see if science fits into it any place. Which one are you and can you prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are right?
