Hi! Re: Creation in Genesis and the six day creation week: the Hebrew words tohu and bohu are they not proof God re-created the earth for man after Satan had ruined it with his dinosaurs, etc. and judgment by water and not by fire in a lake?
Laura Lee writes:
The Bible clearly tells us of a six day creation: Exodus 20:11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever:for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
To my knowledge there are no scriptures in the Bible which speak of a re-creation or re-decoration of the earth. If you have scriptures which prove such a theory please send them. The Hebrew words tohu and bohu simply mean unformed and unfilled as anything you make or create would be to start with. So the answer to your question is that "No" the Hebrew words tohu and bohu do not prove a re-creation or a re-decoration.
The dinosaurs were created by God and belonged to God. Strong's #8577 "Tanniyn" was translated in various Bible versions as: sea monsters, sea animals and monsters. In the King James Bible it is translated as: sea monster, 1 time, whale, 3 times, serpent, 3 times and dragon 21 times. Dragons and dinosaurs are the same thing.
In Genesis 1:21 it says God created "Tanniyn" (dinosaurs) on day five of creation week. Verse 21: "And God created great whales (Strong's #8577=dragon/dinosaur), and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good." The Bible also shows that dinosaurs were living at the time of Job.
