I have been in prison 24 years (try to picture that in your own life, the past quarter century, essentially); and under the worst kind of prison conditions imaginable, most of these years. And I haven't committed a crime to be imprisoned. Though we are all sinners, for sure, I never in my life lived any kind of a life of crime, as those who know me can attest to. I have never ceased for 24 years to rectify this grave injustice, through spiritual means (prayer, etc.), and actions of most every sort imaginable (the courts, media, parole boards, public outrage, etc.). Although late, these efforts have paid off in that I now have, for the first time ever, a very realistic chance of getting my freedom by parole and, once free, can become completely exonerated (as only prison obstacles have prevented that all these years, and still do). I have a very good chance of paroling, which is long overdue, by law. But I cannot do it without professional legal help. Toward that end, we have just hired an attorney for $8000. $4000 of that still needs to be paid before they can file the petition they've worked the past couple months on. Dear Christian-hearted people have put up the initial part already, so most of the legal work has already been done. We are also running against court-imposed deadlines which, alone, could block relief permanently, if we don't raise the fees quickly.
